During This is not a circus in January 2023, we had the chance to perform the carte-blanche creation HOLD ON LIGHT at Theater Bellevue. What a great opportunity that was to work again with Annika Hemmerling and Luuk Brantjes! Thanks to TENT and all the involved people!
The 30-minute piece even got ★★★★ and reviews: de Volkskrant reported on "the miniature" HOLD ON LIGHT which Annette Embrechts says deserves to be developed into a longer performance. "By playing with illusions, this trio beautifully shapes a yearning for a lighter existence." The NRC ("there were moments of illusion, embedded in witty physical theatre") and Het Parool ("a magical work of art") also featured the trio "with the brilliance of sparkling creativity."
